One of my passions is getting in front of people and sharing the vision of crowd sourcing, a concept that I have developed through both tribewanted and now thenerve.tv. It also seems that others feel that I have something to say on the matter too which has lead to a number of speaking engagements, from Universities to World Summit’s and I want to take every opportunity that I can!

I have started a tour of Universities, specifically speaking to media studies students about thenerve.tv and the future of television and User Generated Content. My first Uni talk was in Huddersfield this week and I loved it! There is nothing like sitting with a bunch of creative people who are passionate to learn and who, equally, I can learn off!

I was also invited to speak about thenerve.tv at a World Summit for Social Entrepreneurs called i-genius which aims to inspire a new generation into social business. Unfortunately, because of the Uni engagement I could not attend, however, thenerve.tv was represented by one of my team, Andy Jaye, who is Head of Development at thenerve.tv.

It is just as well that Andy is in Thailand as I would not have been able to take up a fantastic opportunity to speak at the Interactive Communications Conference which is taking place in Amsterdam next week, which you can read all about here: Spinawards.nl. Well thats if you can read Dutch you can! I am really exciting to head over to this event as the organisers have asked me to speak on the subject of crowd sourcing for 45 minutes, using my story of tribewanted to thenerve.tv. It seems that Europe is desperate to learn about crowd sourcing and fast so it is great to share my experiences to date!

So, if anyone else would like me to speak at their event - send an e-mail!

    Hi Mark,

Where is your next talk? Are Manchester, Liverpool or Sheffield potential venues?

    Hope all is well.

    John
