There has been a lot going on at the moment in the ‘People. Passion. Planet’ headquarters. Three major projects are getting off the ground which is bringing about some really exciting interest. Nevertheless, ironically, during the busy times I like to take some time out, just to get a different perspective of situations and of life.

Last night, for the second time, I watched Hotel Rwanda. This is the story of the heroisism of one man during the Rwandan genocide as the struggle between the Hutu and Tutsi groups grew. This one man, Paul Rusesabagina, through an act of compassion saved the lives of many people. This is a poweful and moving thing which got me thinking, once again, about the Third World.

After the film had ended I sat thinking about the hidden creativity and talent within the Third World. As much as there are young entrepreneurs in the Western World, there are hidden entrepreneurs in the Third World. These young people have the creativity and potential to change the lives of villages, to change the lives of future generation by starting businesses and seeing a difference in their communities. I then began to wonder whether these hidden people remain hidden and never fulfil their potential because of lack of aspiration, motivation and finances. In areas of poverty, has it become a generational attitude and understanding that dreamers will never fulfil their dreams?

I am really passionate about getting involved in projects that will inspire, teach and educate young entrepreneurs across Third World Countries, projects that enable these people to run with businesses in a real and life changing way. If you know of any such projects please let me know.
